SUMMARY:Sunbeam Seattle
DESCRIPTION:Sunbeam Seattle is a free\, all-day social coding event for girl-identifying teens ages 13 to 18\, held at the McKinney Center in the Central District. It is the Seattle edition of Sunbeam\, a series running simultaneously in more than 20 cities worldwide on the same day\, organized by the teen nonprofit Hack Club. \nNo coding experience is required. Participants work in teams of one to three — arriving with friends or forming groups on the day — and move through beginner-friendly workshops before building websites\, games and other projects to present at an afternoon showcase. Food\, drinks\, supplies\, mentorship\, merch and prizes are provided at no cost.
