Sr. Identity and Access Management Security Operations Engineer

Description: You are a seasoned, experienced, fully functioning member of the security operations team. You have knowledge of a wide variety of security concepts, practices, and procedures, and can resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. You may mentor others on the security or technology team. You fully own security patching identity and access system operations, security operations projects or teams. As part of owning identity and access management (IAM) security operations or projects, you are starting to, with guidance from your manager, learn how to successfully delegate parts of a project or task and collate results. In this role, you are part engineer, analyst, and advisor.  Expect around 10% travel.

Decision Making / Discretion:

-You are able to work collaboratively and independently but ask for general guidance on new projects or unfamiliar areas.

-You contribute heavily to authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) services, identity system security and engineering, implementing security strategy, multi-factor authentication (MFA), maturity model implementation and process improvements.

-You are the driver and subject matter expert for at least one IAM security/product area, tool, or project.

-You demonstrate good judgment and use your expertise in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

-You contribute to defining procedures and practices used by the team.

Required Skills & Experience:
-U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) who does not hold dual citizenship. You agree to complete a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position with the U.S. federal government or other clearances as deemed appropriate for the role.

-You have at least 3+ years of continuous experience in systems security, IAM, or security operations or 5 years of technical operations or IT work.

-You have comprehensive working knowledge of deploying and using IAM tools in either a Windows and/or Linux environment.

-You have built productive relationships with Technical Operations, Security Operations, Incident Response, Technical Compliance, executive stakeholders and other stakeholders.

-You have a solid understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, identity management software, MFA, Yubikey, Duo Security, NIS, Radius, Kerberos, TACACS.

-Generally proficient with security tools, systems, and processes.

-You have demonstrated technical knowledge about web application security, networking fundamentals, Linux and/or Windows environments, and security within public cloud environments.

-You have proven ownership abilities of features, projects, or product teams with multiple past successes.

-You have the ability to identify threats and weaknesses within a system in order to direct security operations resources or involvement.

-It is preferred that you have graduated from college or graduate school after completing security coursework or internships.
