We are looking for an IT Associate to design, install, implement and maintain our information technology, computer and telecommunication systems and networks to achieve high performance, consistent functionality, and cost efficiency. This person will perform both technical and administrative tasks and will train users to effectively and appropriately use IT systems. They must be knowledgeable in software, hardware, internet applications, operating systems and networks. They must also be a critical thinker and problem-solver with great attention to detail. Since end user support and teamwork are important aspects of the role, excellent communication and people skills are required.

We are hiring for this position immediately. This position is full-time, with a minimum salary of $50,000, commensurate with experience.   • Design, install, implement, maintain and manage information technology, computer and telecommunication systems; install and configure hardware and software
  • Evaluate IT and data practices, monitor system and network performance, troubleshoot problems, and develop and implement solutions including repairs and data restoration
  • Manage and maintain Indivisible’s email and file storage systems
  • Support remote users and develop a/v solutions to enable remote participation in meetings and other organizational forums
  • Plan and implement suitable IT choices based on user requirements and functional specifications; scope hardware, software, applications, and network solutions to meet a wide variety of organizational needs; identify and fulfill equipment needs
  • Integrate multiple systems and reconcile the needs of different teams
  • Ensure appropriate security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Develop IT-related policies and procedures and coordinate with staff to improve practices; assist in developing protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects
  • Provide orientation, training, and technical support for hardware, software, systems and networks
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance; maintain appropriate records of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
  • Plan and oversee projects (e.g. upgrades, hardware and software installations)

Qualifications (Required):

  • Professional experience in an IT or tech support role including hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer hardware and software systems, IT systems and applications, network technology, and basic telecom and audiovisual systems
  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration
  • Experience with data management, including internet security and data privacy practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and project management abilities

Qualifications (Desired):

  • Degree and/or minor in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, information technology, physics, etc. is preferred
  • Certification (Google Certified Associate – G Suite Administrator, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, etc.) is also a plus
