Growers is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Seattle team developing applications that provide farms with data-driven recommendations and improvements. As a trusted team member, the Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with the engineering team to design, code, and launch new features.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for:

Designing frontend and backend architectures for web and mobile applications
Working with QA to foster a quality product that is continually improved
Implement secure code and promote data protection

We believe you need to have the following experience to be qualified:

4+ years of software development support experience
Full stack web application development
Implement web or mobile interfaces using XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST
Ability to leverage JavaScript MVC frameworks such as Angular, Backbone, and React
Understanding of OOP design principles
Familiarity with or interest in learning next generation web API technologies such as GraphQL
Combine internal and external APIs to update internal and external systems
Strong sense of ownership and adaptable and flexible to changing requirements
Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

If you have these skills it’s definitely a plus:

Familiarity with SQL, spatial SQL, and noSQL databases at scale
Background in GIS or Geospatial technologies
Working knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts
