Wenatchee Mini Maker Faire
June 1 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
The 4th Annual Wenatchee Mini Maker Faire will be Saturday, June 1 at the Town Toyota Center from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The Faire is a one-day, free event for the entire community to explore, learn and connect with innovators from around Washington State. The call for makers is open now until May 17 and community members can submit a proposal online at wenatchee.makerfaire.com to showcase their work to over 2,500 people.
Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth — a family-friendly showcase of invention, imagination, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker Movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning. Makers range from tech enthusiasts and entrepreneurs to artists and performers to scientists and garage tinkerers. They are all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.
The call for makers, artists, entrepreneurs, crafters, and other community members is open now through May 17. Any group or individual participating at the Faire for non-commercial (not selling or promoting) purposes can participate for free. Commercial vendors and non-profits are encouraged to participate with an exhibitor fee of $100 to $250.
Students and educators are invited to submit a proposal to showcase the innovative work they are doing in the classroom in regards to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. There are no exhibitor fees for students or educators to showcase their work.
