“VC 101”: A Primer on Angel & Venture Capital by Female Founders Alliance
March 13 @ 7:00 pm - March 18 @ 9:00 pm
For all women entrepreneurs who are considering taking their startup on a venture-scale growth path. Maybe you are ready to raise a seed round. Or just curious about venture capital. Maybe you’re not sure what that means but want to learn more. This event is for you.
In this fireside chat with experienced investors Judy Loehr and Elise Hebb, we will provide a primer into what it means to be a “venture scale startup”, what it takes to raise venture capital, and why it starts way before you decide to meet with Madrona and Andreesen Horowitz. We’ll answer all your questions and hang out for networking at the end.
This event is organized by the Female Founders Alliance, and is open to members and non-members alike. Capacity is limited so reserve a seat soon.
Elise joined Maveron in January 2017 and leads the firm’s fundraising, investor relations, and marketing efforts. She also oversees Maveron’s administrative and finance teams. Elise has worked in private equity and venture capital her entire professional career, and brings experience from all sides of the industry (legal, Limited Partner, General Partner, and fundraising).
Elise is passionate about her customers, which at Maveron means delivering world-class returns to the firm’s investors and supporting Maveron’s community of entrepreneurs who are taking big risks to build the next generation of great consumer brands. Of equal importance is cultivating and supporting the Maveron team because she knows that all of us working together to support our companies gives them a much greater chance of succeeding.
