Tech Volunteering: Douglass Day Transcribe-A-Thon

February 14 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

In honor of Black History Month and Frederick Douglass’ 200th birthday, we’ll be making post Civil War records of the Freedmen’s Bureau accessible online.

The event is on February 14th from 9am-12pm. *ALL* are welcome.

We especially encourage those interested in digital archiving work, library and information sciences, African American Studies, and history to attend. This is a nation wide Transcribe-A-Thon with the Smithsonian’s largest crowdsourced transcription project ever.

Bring your laptop and we’ll provide the coffee and pastries!
