March 15 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Welcome Seattle Sport Techies!
March Madness is here. This month we are happy to present UPGRADED Tickets as the featured speaker. Head of Product, Korby Parnell, will be joining us for a lively discussion on how blockchain works in the the ticketing ecosystem. ***RSVP Here*** (https://www.meetup.com/Seattle-Sports-Tech-Meetup/)
Korby Parnell is Head of Product for UPGRADED Tickets, Korby is a veteran of Ticketmaster, Yahoo!, Myspace, and Microsoft. His expertise spans blockchain ticketing, e-commerce, social software, streaming analytics, big data, ML, and developer tools. Prior to joining UPGRADED, he spent 4 years delivering the backbone web services that power Ticketmaster’s commerce order processing, fulfillment, delivery, fraud analysis, financial reporting and customer support for resale inventory. Korby is a former Planning Commissioner for the City of Redmond, WA and holds a B.A. in Politics from the University of Puget Sound.
UPGRADED is a ticketing platform that converts traditional event tickets into secure, interactive digital assets on a private consortium Ethereum blockchain, enabling buyers and sellers to interact with complete trust–even on Craigslist. For event organizers, UPGRADED provides game-changing data and control, with unprecedented insight into the full chain of custody for every ticket delivered along with ability to preordain group and individual ownership and usage restrictions. These tickets are easy to transfer and impossible to duplicate. They work with existing entry systems and support stored value (gift cards, coupons, etc.), loyalty data, and other dynamic elements that turn a ticket into a “smart ticket”. ***RSVP Here*** (https://www.meetup.com/Seattle-Sports-Tech-Meetup/)
