About Rachel Sanborn
Rachel is the Lead Financial Planner at Ellevest, and has spent the past 15 years doing comprehensive financial planning, investment management and research, and financial planning technology development at a variety of firms for all types of clients: ultra high net worth individuals, endowments, foundations, retirees, small business owners, pre-retirees, young professionals, and everything in between. She spent four years at the intersection of financial planning and technology with LearnVest, acquired in 2015 by Northwestern Mutual, helping them build a software platform and team of financial planners from scratch. Rachel then spent another 1.5 years with Advizr (creator of financial planning software) as their Director of Financial Planning, working with their product team to prioritize and write specifications for new financial planning features in their software platform, building and managing a customer support team from the ground up, and building and delivering training programs for enterprise and independent users.
