— Miguel de Icaza, who joined Microsoft after the tech giant acquired Xamarin in 2016, is leaving the company, according to a report from ZDNet. He was co-founder and chief technology officer at Xamarin, a mobile app development platform founded in 2011. Xamarin co-founder and CEO Nat Friedman left in November. de Icaza, known as a leader in open source software development, was a distinguished engineer at Microsoft. He will take time off before deciding where to land next, ZDNet reported.

Other personnel changes across the Pacific Northwest tech industry:

— Romanita Hairston, who most recently was at Microsoft leading a global skilling effort, joined The M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust as CEO and executive director.

— Andy Hickl, another former Microsoft leader who was principal group program manager for AI in Azure, joined Accenture as managing director in Seattle.

— Seattle-area mobile marketplace giant OfferUp hired two execs: Scott Greenberg, former COO of Steller, as vice president of business development, and Steve Strauch, former director of product management at REI, as vice president of marketplace.

Betsy Webb, a longtime Microsoft exec who most recently was CMO of JUJA Active, joined Peloton as vice president of Peloton Commercial.

Ali Tehrani, former CEO of Zymeworks, joined Aptitude Ventures as venture partner.
