Darcie Henry, a 23-year Amazon veteran, will join Snap Inc. as chief human resources officer in July. She is currently Amazon’s vice president of HR for global consumer and operations. Henry succeeds Snap Chief People Officer Lara Sweet who recently retired.

“Darcie’s experience leading large, rapidly growing teams around the world will be a tremendous asset to Snap,” said Snap CEO Evan Spiegel.

Henry joined Amazon in 1998 when the 4-year-old company had about 2,100 employees. The Seattle tech giant now employs almost 1.3 million people worldwide.

— Seattle travel platform Expedia Group has hired top executives from Apple and Verizon Media. The company is in the midst of overhauling its leadership structure and brand after a long period of organizational disarray and declining revenues. Read the story.

— Tableau’s Chief Financial Officer Damon Fletcher has departed to join Boston-based DataRobot, an enterprise AI platform, as CFO. Fletcher spent seven years at the Seattle data visualization company and was promoted to CFO in 2018.

Fletcher is not the only recent executive departure from Salesforce-owned Tableau. Adam Selipsky, Tableau’s CEO for the past four years, returned to Amazon Web Services on May 17 where he will take over as CEO of the tech giant’s cloud business unit.

— Corvallis, Ore.-based Crown Electrokinetics appointed Eddie Kovalik as president and chief operating officer and Kai Sato as co-president and chief marketing officer.

Crown Electrokinetics went public in January and has a patented film technology that overlays on glass, such as windows, allowing the tint to be adjusted via a smartphone.

— Early Amazon employee and startup executive Stacey Kinkead is now chief customer officer at Seattle startup Prescryptive Health. 

Kinkead was most recently CPO and COO at MultiScale, a healthcare data platform. She was previously senior director of digital alliances and product at Providence Health and CEO of online retail startup Rivet & Cuff.

Lead by Microsoft commercial cloud vets, Prescryptive Health raised $26 million last year for its prescription data platform software.

— Former Microsoft General Manager of National Security Mark Valentine has joined San Francisco-based Scale AI as head of federal. Based in Washington D.C., Valentine is a former U.S. Air Force commander and spent six years at Microsoft.

— Tractive, a company based in Seattle and Pasching, Austria, announced Andrew Bleiman as EVP of North America. Bleiman previously led marketing strategy at Vulcan Inc. and was the North American general manager of Tomofun, makers of dog camera and treat dispenser Furbo.

Tractive produces GPS trackers for dogs and cats. The company closed a $35 million funding round led by Guidepost Growth Equity. Tractive will use the funds to continue refining its pet tracker device and expand its global distribution, especially in the United States. It is the first outside investment in the 9-year-old company.

The company also announced several other personnel additions:

Gary Arnold, a former PayPal and GoDaddy product marketing director, joined San Diego, Calif.-based GoSite as executive vice president of marketing.

Arnold previously was head of sales and business development for Amazon Pay. He also served as chief revenue officer for Bellevue, Wash.-based startup CardTapp.
