i2 Holdings, a holding company that helps brands improve their personalized customer loyalty technology, has made another acquisition.

The Seattle company bought Ambassador, a “refer-a-friend” platform within Intrado, an enterprise software firm and subsidiary of Apollo Management Company. i2 will continue operating Ambassador as part of its ContextLink platform. Ambassador has 11 employees; all will stay on through the acquisition.

This is i2’s third acquisition over the past 18 months. It previously swooped up Predictive Solutions, NodeSource, and ChalkLabs.

i2, which employs 12 people, is led by Geoff McDonald, who previously co-founded and led Seattle startup Element Data. The company’s board members include McDonald; Neal Bernstein, a longtime Microsoft exec; Cliff Monlux, managing partner at Ramp Equity; and Paul Stahura, co-founder and former chairman of Donuts Inc.
