Amazon is bringing out more star power to promote this year’s Prime Day shopping event.

The company announced Thursday that recording artists Billie Eilish, H.E.R. and Kid Cudi will be featured in a three-part musical “Prime Day Show” which will premiere globally on Prime Video starting June 17. The event will be available to all customers for 30 days, with or without a Prime membership.

Prime Day, the tech giant’s annual self-created holiday and shopping bonanza features millions of discounted products and will be held June 21 and 22. Special events like the Prime Day Show are a way for Amazon to attract more Prime members and tout its Amazon Music service, which competes with other streaming music platforms.

Amazon is already enlisting actors and television personalities Kristen Bell, Karomo Brown, and Mindy Kaling to promote Prime Day and Amazon’s economic impact on small businesses around the country.

Here are details of each unique musical performance:

  • Billie Eilish: Set in a Parisian neighborhood with a series of cinematic performances, featuring new music from Eilish’s upcoming album, “Happier Than Ever.” Runtime is approximately 27 minutes.
  • H.E.R.: A modern day tribute to the iconic Dunbar Hotel, once a hub of Los Angeles Black culture in the 1930’s and 40’s. H.E.R. imagines what the setting would be like if it existed in 2021, featuring new music from her album, “Back of My Mind.” Runtime is approximately. 25 minutes.
  • Kid Cudi: An “intercosmic” performance that depicts the artist leaving Earth for the moon to establish a new community. Featuring music from his album “Man on the Moon III,” Cudi collaborates with the International Space Orchestra, composed of scientists from NASA Ames Research Center, the SETI Institute, and the International Space University as his backing band. Runtime is approximately 25 minutes.

“Watching these globally renowned artists create three shows from the depths of their imagination has been unlike anything we’ve ever done before,” Ryan Redington, VP of Music Industry at Amazon Music, said in a statement.

Amazon Music subscribers and Prime members can access the official Prime Day Show playlist to stream songs from the three performers. The Prime Day Show will also be available to stream on Twitch, IMDb TV, and on Amazon devices.

Eilish, a seven-time Grammy winner, will also be launching a line of merchandise exclusively on Amazon on June 17 alongside the event.

Previous Prime Day streamed concerts have featured Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. Amazon usually hosts an in-person Post Prime Day Concert for employees and their families in Seattle. In 2019, Katy Perry and Lil Nas X performed.
