Looking for someone to mount that TV you just picked up on eBay? Seattle-based home services company Porch is teaming with the online marketplace as part of a new initiative that allows shoppers to easily book installation services.

Founded in 2013, Porch connects homeowners with a network of professionals to help with tasks large and small, from handyman work to remodels. eBay users who purchase an item that needs installation or assembly will pay a fee to be connected to a service professional in their area.

Porch announced a similar partnership in June with e-commerce giant Overstock.com. As an introduction to the new services announced Monday, Porch and eBay are offering TV mounting services at $49, for a limited time.

eBay is also partnering with New York-based Handy and Boston-based InstallerNet, which offer some of the same services.

“A massive amount of home and electronic items are sold on eBay daily, many of which require professional installation,” said Alyssa Steele, vice president of Merchandising at eBay, in a news release Monday. “With these new partnerships, we’re able to combine our incredible selection of inventory with easy access to affordable and trusted service professionals, making eBay a one-stop shop for our customers.”

With 177 million active buyers worldwide and more than 1 billion listings, eBay’s latest move — built into the checkout process — comes on the heals of tire installation services added late last year.

Porch CEO and founder Matt Ehrlichman said this summer that the company is growing very rapidly right now after falling on tougher times and cutting staff three years ago. Porch acquired Serviz, a smaller home services company in August.
