Google is beefing up Google Translate with more accurate offline translations in 59 languages.
The new feature, offline Neural Machine Translation, takes in to account the context of an entire sentence rather than just translating each individual word. Google says the new capabilities are ideal for avid travelers and people in places without internet connections.
The update will roll out to all Google Translate on Android and iOS devices over the next few weeks. Each downloaded language set takes up about 35 to 45MB of storage.
Google says these enhanced translation capabilities are an example of the company infusing deep learning across all its products.
