Axon, the make of police body cameras and other law enforcement technology with headquarters in Seattle and Scottsdale, Ariz., is teaming up with Chinese drone maker DJI for a new program to sell drones to law enforcement agencies.

The new program, Axon Air, combines DJI drones with Axon’s digital evidence data storage platform evidence.com. Today evidence.com stores body camera videos and other evidence, and it will do the same with footage captured by drone.

Axon says more than 900 American public safety agencies use drones for a variety of purposes, like search and rescue, tactical actions and reconstructing traffic collisions. According to a press release on the new alliance, at least 130 people around the world have been rescued by drones.
