The WeWork Westlake co-working space.

Co-working giant WeWork is opening another Seattle location just blocks from Amazon’s brand new headquarters campus in the Denny Triangle neighborhood.

The company announced the new location will open Dec. 1 at 1099 Stewart St. That building, also known as Hill7, is home to Redfin’s headquarters and HBO’s Seattle engineering office.

We reached out to WeWork for more information about the size of the new office, and we will update this post if we hear back.

The new WeWork location will include unique amenity areas, conference rooms, private spaces for phone calls and special events.

WeWork’s website lists the new Denny Triangle location as the fifth in the Seattle area. The others include the original location in South Lake Union that opened in 2014, as well as newer spaces in the Holyoke Building and Westlake Tower in downtown Seattle, and a Bellevue location at Lincoln Square.

WeWork is gearing up to add a couple more locations in Seattle. The company confirmed last month that it plans to expand its WeLive co-living residential program to Seattle at a 36-story building in the Belltown neighborhood, which will feature 384 apartments and plenty of co-working space, in addition to common areas and retail spaces. It will open in spring of 2020. WeWork will also occupy two floors in a five-story office project in Ballard.

New York-based WeWork just raised $4.4 billion from SoftBank and its related Softbank Vision Fund. About $3 billion of that will be invested directly into WeWork, and $1.4 billion will go toward expanding its presence in China, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia. WeWork now counts approximately 150,000 members across 160 locations in 16 countries.
