Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos celebrated the opening of Amazon’s newest wind farm, and he did it in style.
A tweet from Bezos showed the Amazon chief executive perched high atop a 300-foot tall windmill, doing his best Tom Cruise from Mission Impossible impression. He christened the Snyder, Texas wind farm, the company’s largest yet with more than 100 turbines, while what appears to be a drone filmed the whole thing.

Amazon has launched 18 wind and solar projects across the U.S., with at least 35 more to come. Together, the projects will generate enough clean energy to power more than 330,000 homes annually, the company says.
Amazon said it also plans to donate $50,000 to the Snyder Education Foundation to provide students and teachers with STEM learning opportunities as a thank you for support from the local community and officials.
In addition to its renewable energy efforts, Amazon said its sustainability initiatives include a district energy system that recycles heat from a data center to heat more than 3 million square feet of its office space in Seattle and its Frustration-Free Packaging programs, which the company said eliminated more than 55,000 tons of packaging last year.
