Salesforce plans to use its largest event of the year this week to highlight how its flagship salesforce-management service is evolving around changing trends in tech, including artificial intelligence and the internet of things.

One year after Salesforce introduced its Einstein AI technology, it’s adding some new capabilities through a new product called myEinstein, the company plans to announce Monday at Dreamforce 2017 in San Francisco. It also added new ways to let customers personalize their Salesforce dashboards and apps, and it will help aspiring mobile app developers get up and running in Apple’s App Store and Google Play.

Over 150,000 organizations are now using Salesforce’s customer-relationship management service to track leads, move customers through sales pipelines, and forecast future sales targets. One of the pioneers of the software-as-a-service movement that has completely changed the way enterprises buy information technology products, Salesforce plans to host well over 100,000 people at Dreamforce this week across multiple venues in downtown San Francisco, with special guests like Michelle Obama as well as Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush, daughters of former President George W. Bush.

The most interesting new components in Salesforce involve myEinstein, which is what Salesforce now calls its AI efforts. Salesforce developers can now build “predictions,” which can model various customer outcomes based on sales data without needing a data science team.

For example, Salesforce admins can use Einstein Predictor Builder to evaluate which of their customers is an attrition risk and direct sales reps to respond accordingly. It takes 24 hours to build a prediction, and the results of that prediction can be added to a variety of workflows across different kinds of Salesforce users, said Jim Sinai, vice president of marketing for Salesforce Einstein, in a briefing ahead of the event.

Salesforce is also introducing Einstein Bots, which allow users to employ chatbots for certain types of customer-service interactions. The bots are able to access that customer’s historical data in Salesforce and respond accordingly to basic requests without having to involve sales reps.

Other new additions to Salesforce that will be discussed at Dreamforce include:

  • Companies investing in connected devices across their supply chains and products will be able to use Salesforce data to automatically respond to sensory input or events.
  • Salesforce users that would like to build mobile apps for their customers and partners based around sales data will get help from Salesforce testing and configuring their apps before submitting them to the App Store and Google Play.
  • Users will be able to customize their Salesforce apps with their own logo and themes, and they’ll also be able to do that within the Trailblazer training program.
