Seattle sales software startup Outreach has a new home.

Employees at the 200-person company began moving into a new headquarters building last week at 1441 N. 34th St. in Seattle’s Fremont-Wallingford neighborhoods, a space it subleased from Tableau Software. The Outreach HQ is on the first floor of the structure, and Outreach Vice President of Marketing Katie Doyle tells GeekWire the company has an option to take the second floor as well, giving it additional room to grow.

Doyle said the new headquarters will serve Outreach’s needs for the foreseeable future, though with its rapid growth trajectory the company’s next step would be to a plant a flag in the city with a building of its own. Doyle added that the company doesn’t have specific plans for such a project as of yet, but next time Outreach moves it would likely be to its own building.

News of the lease was first reported by the Puget Sound Business Journal.

Until this move, Outreach was spread across two buildings near its new HQ, with a space totaling about 18,000 square feet. Doyle said the company outgrew its office at the Brooks Running building and picked up space at a building across the street. Outreach moved several teams — including marketing, customer success, sales consulting — into the second space, but the logistics of going back and forth were difficult to deal with.

“Having our HQ team distributed across two buildings was challenging,” Doyle wrote in an email to GeekWire. “We were each making trips back and forth between the two buildings, sometimes multiple times a day. Or worse, we didn’t want to lose time ‘commuting’ between the two so found ourselves having video conferences to connect with the team across the street. We needed to be in a single space.”

So when Tableau put chunks of office space up for lease as it moved into a new headquarters building earlier this year, Outreach jumped on it. Google has also taken advantage of the Tableau subleases to increase its footprint in the Fremont neighborhood.

Outreach has been growing quickly this year, and in May it raised a $30 million funding round. Outreach originally built software tools for recruiters, but it pivoted in 2014 to focus on tools for salespeople.

The company now helps clients like Pandora, Adobe, and Zillow automate and streamline communication with sales prospects. It offers one system to track all touch points, from phone calls to emails to LinkedIn messages. The software integrates with existing tools like Salesforce and Gmail.
