The inaugural GeekWire Cloud Tech Summit — our first-ever technical conference — continues to gain momentum. And today we’re excited to announce that newly-appointed Docker CEO Steve Singh will join us as one of our keynote speakers.

This will be one of first public appearances for Singh since May 2 when he joined Docker, the heavily-funded powerhouse which is leading the way in container technology, a key component in how companies deploy software in the cloud. Singh previously served as CEO of Concur, the travel and entertainment expense management software company that sold to SAP for $8.3 billion in 2014, and he’s widely regarded as one of the most accomplished entrepreneurs in the enterprise software arena.

Singh will be joined on stage by Docker COO Scott Johnston, who joined Docker in 2014 after executive roles at Puppet, Cisco System and Loudcloud.

“Every once in awhile you find transformational companies, companies that can really change the technology landscape,” Singh told GeekWire after his appointment as CEO. “Docker is that kind of company.” We’ll hear more from Singh, and his vision for Docker and the overall cloud computing industry on June 7.

Tickets are available for the Cloud Tech Summit, which is taking at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Wash. Go here to purchase tickets and reserve your spot.

In addition to in-depth fireside chats with technology leaders such as Microsoft Azure chief Scott Guthrie, Cloud Foundry Foundation executive director Abby Kearns and Google Cloud Platform VP Sam Ramji, the Cloud Tech Summit will feature in-depth afternoon technical sessions in three key areas: DevOps; Microservices/Serverless Computing; and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

This first-of-its-kind technical conference is ideal for developers, engineers, IT administrators, CTOs, CIOs, investors, entrepreneurs and others who want to stay abreast of the major trends in computing today, as well as those who want hands-on learning on the tools that will reshape how they work in the next five years.

Editor’s note: The Singh Family Foundation serves as the underwriting sponsor of GeekWire’s Impact Series, a journalistic endeavor that covers individuals and organizations making a positive impact in the community.
