A new trailer for “Blade Runner 2049” released on Monday provides a more detailed look at the world and characters who will inhabit the long-awaited sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 sci-fi classic.

Ryan Gosling stars as K, an LAPD officer in the film which is set in California 30 years after the original, which starred Harrison Ford as an android-hunting Det. Rick Deckard. In the new trailer, K has the most interaction we’ve seen thus far, as he tangles with a character played by Dave Bautista (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) and others.

It looks like we might get some answers from Deckard, too, into where he went at the end of the original film and why he disappeared for three decades.

Jared Leto and his milky eyeballs provide the necessary spook factor in the replicant-creator role of Neander Wallace. “Replicants are the future, but I can only make so many,” he says.

The film hits theaters Oct. 6.
