If you are looking for a job and don’t mind living in Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, or Kansas City, there’s good news.

Glassdoor, the second-largest jobs site, published its annual “Top 25 Best Cities for Jobs” list based on its data about hiring opportunity (ratio of active job openings to population), cost of living (ratio of median annual base salary to median metro home value), and job satisfaction (Glassdoor reviews). The top 50 most populated U.S. metros were considered.

Pittsburgh finished atop the list with 95,399 job openings — “hot jobs” in the Pennsylvania city include civil engineer, project manager, and registered nurse. The median salary in Pittsburgh is $44,000, while median home value is $137,400.

Here’s how the top 10 rounded out — note three cities in Ohio and a heavy midwest presence:

  1. Pittsburgh
  2. Indianapolis
  3. Kansas City, Mo.
  4. Raleigh-Durham
  5. St. Louis
  6. Memphis
  7. Columbus
  8. Cincinnati
  9. Cleveland
  10. Louisville

Seattle, meanwhile, ranked 17th with 187,741 job openings and a median salary of $46,000. Its median home value, $447,100, was the second-highest of any city on the list with the exception of San Jose, Calif. In 2016, Seattle ranked No. 3 on the list, though Glassdoor counted work/life balance as a category last year.

San Francisco and New York did not make the list, despite their robust technology ecosystems.

“Big, metropolitan cities may be more famous than others, including being home to some amazing companies to work for, but this recognition is also what contributes to them being among the most expensive places to live,” noted Glassdoor Chief Economist Dr. Andrew Chamberlain. “People may be overlooking mid-sized cities like Pittsburgh or St. Louis if they are looking to relocate or find new opportunities. What this jobs report shows is that many mid sized cities stand out for offering a great mix of a thriving job market with plenty of opportunity, paired with home affordability and being regions where employees are more satisfied in their jobs too.”

Three cities in the running to land Amazon’s new HQ — Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Atlanta — all made Glassdoor’s list.

Glassdoor, co-founded by former Zillow and Expedia CEO Rich Barton, has raised $160 million to date. Its platform, which attracts 45 million unique users per month, has 33 million reviews from employees at 700,000 different companies across 190 countries. Glassdoor also compiles other career-related lists, like “Best Cities for Software Engineers,” and “Top-Rated CEOs.
