House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) is making a trip to the Pacific Northwest this week to lay out the Republican tax reform plan. Ryan will make stops at Intel Corp. in Hillsboro, Ore., and Boeing Co. in Everett, Wa.

Ryan, whose website says “we have the worst tax code for businesses in the industrialized world,” will tour Boeing’s Everett production facility on Thursday and participate in a town hall with employees. The event event starts at 8 a.m. PT and can be watched via livestream from the speaker’s website.

The pillars of the tax plan — a stronger economy, higher wages, more American jobs — can be achieved by slashing the corporate tax rate, according to details on Ryan’s website. He says this will “level the playing field for American businesses and end incentives for companies to ship jobs overseas.”

On Wednesday, Ryan will be at Intel at 9 a.m. PT and take part in a roundtable and business tour. He’ll also be holding a news conference.

Ryan kicks off his tax-reform tour on Monday evening with a CNN town hall at the Racine Theatre Guild in his home state of Wisconsin. The event, moderated by anchor Jake Tapper, will air live on CNN at 6:30 p.m. PT.
