Summer is finally here, and that means one thing: Our big GeekWire Sounders Day party is back!

Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei at Sounders Day.

On July 19, we’ll once again take over the amazing rooftop deck at Dell EMC, bringing together soccer fans and tech geeks for this one-of-a-kind networking party. Tickets are on sale now here for both the party and the match, but move fast as we usually sell out.

This is one of our favorite events of the year, a fun night to hang out with other geeks before a Seattle Sounders soccer match.

If you’ve never attended Sounders Day, here’s how this unique sporting experience plays out. We gather on the rooftop deck of Dell EMC starting around 4:30 p.m.; enjoy some tasty BBQ; top-notch Seattle microbrews; awesome geeks and listen to remarks from Sounders FC owner Adrian Hanauer and other special guests.

Then, at about 7 p.m., we’ll march to the match to watch the Sounders take on D.C. United. Official kick off is 7:30 p.m.

We’ve reserved a special block of seats at CenturyLink Field where the GeekWire faithful can chant, sing and cheer on our Sounders during the match. Grab those tickets to the game and party here. (Note: Game tickets will be distributed at the registration desk at the tailgate party at Dell/EMC).

If you’re already a Sounders FC season ticket holder or just want to hang with us on the rooftop deck, you can join us for the pre-game festivities for either $7 (developers and engineers) or $12 (general admission).

Food and beverages will be provided at the pre-game party courtesy of Dell/EMC, our title sponsor of this very special event.

See you on July 19th, and go Sounders!

Note: This is a 21+ event. For sponsorship info about GeekWire events, contact Daniel Rossi at daniel@geekwire.com
