The return of the dinosaurs is exciting and all, but Jeff Goldblum reprising his role as math geek Dr. Ian Malcolm? Yes, please, and thank you, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.”

A new behind-the-scenes teaser for the summer 2018 blockbuster gives fans of the epic film series lots to chew on, including big, bad scenes with the Tyrannosaurus rex and lots of stuff blowing up. There’s also star Chris Pratt rallying the fan base (much like he did when he raised the 12th Man flag at CenturyLink Field in Seattle before the Seahawks game on Sunday.)

But Dr. Malcolm, testifying as part of some sort of official-looking hearing, might be the highlight of the 2:45 video. Goldblum hasn’t been in a “Jurassic” movie since 1997’s “The Lost World,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

“Here I am, talking about dinosaurs again?” Malcolm says with that signature wry smile.

“Jeff Goldblum. Not gonna lie. That’s pretty awesome,” Pratt says as the video features interviews with him and fellow star Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as director J.A. Bayona.

A full trailer for “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” will be released on Thursday. Check out the film’s website for much more.
