Amazon suspended Roy Price, the head of its studio division, indefinitely on Thursday after an executive producer for the television series “The Man in the High Castle” went public with details of a sexual harassment claim she had previously made against him.

Isa Hackett described Price’s conduct and lewd comments in a report earlier Thursday in The Hollywood Reporter, as the fallout from reports of powerful producer Harvey Weinstein’s alleged sexual assaults against multiple actresses and other women continues to reverberate across Hollywood and the entertainment industry.

“Roy Price is on leave of absence effective immediately,” an Amazon spokesperson told GeekWire hours after the THR report. “We are reviewing our options for the projects we have with The Weinstein Co.”

In the interview with THR, Hackett described Price’s escalating attempts to proposition her for sex while in the back of a cab at the Comic-Con conference in San Diego in 2015. Hackett is the daughter of Philip K. Dick, the popular science-fiction author whose novel was adapted by Amazon for the TV series.

Previous reports this summer revealed that Amazon had investigated Price over the allegations. The Hollywood veteran remained in his job, as did Hackett, who is also working on another series for Amazon related to her father’s work, called “Electric Dreams.”

In August, Hackett said she did not wish to “discuss the details of this troubling incident with Roy except to say Amazon investigated immediately and with an outside investigator.”

She agreed to an interview on Wednesday with THR after the Weinstein revelations and the incidents involving other women in Hollywood became a major story.

Also on Thursday, actress and director Rose McGowan, who herself said she was raped by Weinstein in 1997, called out Amazon and CEO Jeff Bezos for its dealings with The Weinstein Co., among other charges she lobbed on Twitter.

GeekWire reporter Tom Krazit contributed to this report.
