Mark Zuckerberg wears a suit, Jeff Bezos is best-dressed at meeting with China president

Apple CEO Tim Cook and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos share a laugh. Tencent CEO Pony Ma stands in between.

Many of the world’s top technology CEOs were looking fancy and fresh at Microsoft’s headquarters on Wednesday — even Mark Zuckerberg cleaned up — but it was Amazon’s boss that took home best dressed honors.

As we detailed yesterday, tech execs like Bezos, Zuckerberg, Apple’s Tim Cook, Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, Alibaba’s Jack Ma, and 24 other executives gathered in Redmond, Wash., to meet with China President Xi Jinping at the conclusion of the eighth annual U.S.-China Internet Industry Forum. It was a rare gathering of some of the most powerful people in the tech industry — Bill Gates was also in the room — who traveled from across the globe to Microsoft’s campus this week in the Seattle region where President Xi has spent the past three days.

It was funny seeing Zuckerberg without his typical hoodie or grey t-shirt, but rather a dark suit with a simple red tie. Zuck may want to button up his suit next time, though, as he seems to be the only one in the group photo not doing so.

Alibaba’s Ma went with what looked to be a corduroy or felt jacket and a plain white shirt underneath — a nice shift from the suit-and-tie combo, but nothing special. And I wasn’t a huge fan of the checkered rug design that IBM CEO Ginni Rometty donned.

However, I did like the charcoal suit Apple’s Cook brought from Silicon Valley, which matched well with the light blue tie. A safe look.

The Chinese president, meanwhile, kept it traditional with a black suit and magenta tie.

I almost picked Microsoft’s Nadella for best dressed — Satya looked super clean in a sleek black suit with a shiny black tie, a departure from his typical sportcoat-jeans outfit.

But my favorite outfit goes to Bezos, who stood out from the pack with an excellent blue suit that fit snug and matched well with a dotted red tie.

And check out those kicks!

So there you have it. Jeff Bezos wins the award for best-dressed tech CEO, Mark Zuckerberg needs to button up his suit, and Satya Nadella should look fancy more often.
