Fast-growing enterprise software company Apptio announced on Tuesday that it’s opening a new engineering center in Denver.

The company pointed out that it’s still growing its team at the company’s Bellevue, Wash. headquarters, but it says a presence in Denver will help with recruiting.

Apptio has long been on of the Seattle area’s fastest growing startups, offering a suit of tools to help large enterprises — like Cisco, Microsoft and Bank of America — plan and manage IT expenses. It has 11 offices, from Sydney, Australia to Düsseldorf, Germany. In the U.S., the company has five offices in Bellevue, New York, Chicago, North Carolina and — now — Denver.

The new engineering center will be led by Stephen Younge, who was previously the director of technology for television engagement company Delivery Agent.

“As we continue to scale in size and product innovation, we made the strategic decision to expand our engineering team into new markets,” Apptio executive vice president of engineering Ted Kummert said. “Stephen’s breadth of experience, coupled with Denver’s thriving tech scene will be critical in our ability to deliver at a higher velocity and accelerate the adoption of our (Technology Business Management) solutions.”
