An upcoming episode of ABC’s Modern Family got the full-on Apple treatment — the entire show was shot using only Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 tablets.

The episode, “Connection Lost,” follows Julie Bowen’s character Claire as she is stuck in an airport and trying to reach her daughter Haley, played by Sarah Hyland, to make up after a fight. The entire story plays out on Claire’s Macbook, while she also uses FaceTime and Facebook to reach her daughter.

Co-creator and executive producer Steven Levitan says the inspiration for the episode stems from his real life, and how he communicates with his two daughters while they’re away at college, according to this piece by AP posted on ABC News. “I realized on that screen, you could tell so much about my life,” Levitan told AP.

Levitan said that while Apple supplied iPhones for the episode, it did not pay for product placement. The episode airs Feb. 25 at 9 p.m. PT.
