Pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence, Facebook is working on technology to automatically recognize pictures that users might regret posting, and warn them before they do. It would essentially say, “Uh, this is being posted publicly. Are you sure you want your boss and your mother to see this?” says Yann LeCun, who leads the Facebook Artificial Intelligence Research lab, in this Wired story.
It’s part of a broader push by Facebook to use machine learning and artificial intelligence to help shape the experience on the widely used social network.
