Eddy Cue is very optimistic about what Apple has in store for consumers later this year.

Cue, who serves as Apple’s Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, told an audience at Re/code’s Code Conference tonight that he thinks consumers will like what the Cupertino-based tech company plans to unveil.

“Later this year, we’ve got the best product pipeline that I’ve seen in my 25 years at Apple,” he said.

As Walt Mossberg pointed out on stage, that’s a high bar to hit. In the past 25 years, Apple introduced a number of groundbreaking products, including the iPod, iPhone and iPad.

But Cue said he’s confident that the products in question will impress Apple’s customers.

If the rumors about Apple’s plans are true, Cue might be right.

The company has been reportedly working on an iWatch wearable device, and recent reports indicated that the company could be launching a smart home system in the near future. In addition, Apple is reportedly working on a new version of its Apple TV that would allow users to view current-run television shows.

Cue’s statements come after Apple announced today that it is buying Beats Music and Beats Electronics for $3 billion, following rumors about the deal earlier this month.

Meanwhile, here’s video of Cue and Beats Music exec Jimmy Iovine talking about Steve Jobs, discussing the long-lasting culture that Jobs created.
