At the conclusion of yesterday’s GeekWire Summit, we were honored to be joined by one of our favorite Seattle-based musicians, Dave Dederer, a founding member of the alt-rock band Presidents of the United States of America.

Dederer, who got into the tech business with startup Melodeo and now works at HP, talked about the evolution of music with GeekWire’s Rebecca Lovell before playing us out with a couple of songs — including perhaps the coolest rendition of “Happy Birthday” we’ve ever heard, in honor of GeekWire’s first anniversary.

Here’s the video, for your lunchtime viewing pleasure, with the tunes starting shortly after the 11:00 mark.

Also check out coverage of our conversation with Ray Ozzie at the event, and highlights from the mobile panel.

Thanks to Dave for helping us celebrate, and thanks to Bryan Zug and the team at Bootstrapper Studios for all their work on videos from the event.
