Lockerz just scored $30 million in venture capital financing from the likes of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and former Microsoft CFO Greg Maffei. And how is the Seattle social networking upstart — geared toward teens and twenty somethings– using some of that cash? Well, meet Marcy. That’s the title character of a new original comedy show produced by Lockerz, and making its debut on the site today. The premise? Marcy –played by Cierra Solis — engages with young Hollywood stars as she attempts to become “America’s next great stunt person.”

“Lockerz’ original content series are among the most popular activities on the site and have generated more than 11 million views,” said Kathy Savitt, the former Amazon.com and Seattle PR exec who founded Lockerz.  “Our members are going to have a blast earning PTZ while watching Marcy’s antics with a cast that’s the Who’s Who of young Hollywood.”

PTZ are the virtual currency that members of Lockerz earn by watching videos, sharing content and shopping. Netflix and Hulu also produce original video content.

But comedy — especially the mockumentary style perfected by The Office and attempted with Marcy —  is a real art. Reaction in the comments to one of the first episodes is a bit mixed. Check out an episode and see if you think Marcy hits the mark?
