Seattle’s BuddyTV has scored a featured spot in the newly overhauled Google TV interface, releasing a BuddyTV app for Google TV in the Android Marketplace that helps people quickly find favorite channels and suggested shows to watch.

The company says the app can also be used with the companion BuddyTV Guide app for iPhone and iPad to let people use either of those devices as a remote control for Google TV. The company unveiled the iOS app this summer.

“The Google TV Platform is amazingly robust, and we’re extremely pleased to be one of the first apps that leverage and combine the 10’ UI on the TV with the personalized real estate of the iPhone and iPad,” says Andy Liu, the CEO of BuddyTV in a news release announcing the new app.

Google announced the Google TV overhaul earlier today, with a simpler interface and features including integration of Android Apps.
