The Kindle isn’t really known as a gaming device. But that’s not stopping developers from expanding onto Amazon’s popular electronic reading device. Today, Seattle’s Big Fish Games announced that its hidden object game, Hidden Expedition: Amazon, is now available on the Kindle for $4.99.

It marks Big Fish Games’ first title on the Kindle, and the first hidden object game on the device.

It’s also part of a larger push by the nine-year-old company to expand onto new platforms, including bringing titles to the iPhone and iPad. Separately, the company announced that its game, Mahjong Towers, is now available on the iPad.

Big Fish, which raised $83.3 million in financing from Balderton Capital, General Catalyst Partners and Salmon River Capital in 2008, actually is bigger in terms of revenue than Seattle’s PopCap Games which agreed to be sold to Electronic Arts earlier this month for up to $1.3 billion.
