The sun and the smiles were out in force Wednesday in Seattle for the GeekWire Rooftop BBQ + Mariners Day, as we came together again for great food and drink, epic views and lively conversation.

On the rooftop deck at First Mode in Pioneer Square, the party featured a pre-game chat with Seattle Mariners CEO John Stanton, who shared his views on the team’s playoff chances, the effect of rule changes across Major League Baseball, and why he avoids the term “robot umpires.”

Afterward, the crowd headed down the street to T-Mobile Park to see the M’s pull off another thrilling win — the team’s seventh straight.

Big thanks to everyone who came out, and to presenting sponsor First Mode, as well as gold sponsors Delta, ALLtech and Pilot Capital. And thanks to our GeekWork partners: Remitly, SolluCIO Partners, TalentReach and Submittable.
