WEB DEVELOPER – BACK END

The Adhesive HAWKEN team is seeking senior level engineers who can help design, implement, and ship new features on the web in addition to strengthening the web-based architectural components our online platform. As a part of our extremely motivated and experienced group of people, you'll work with Adhesive's development team to add exciting new web-based features to our best-of-breed computer game and pioneering e-commerce platform. Duties:
• Regularly ship a variety of products from small internal tools to large-scale web applications used by millions of visitors per week
• Develop an understanding of HAWKEN’S player community
• Contribute creative web-focused design solutions to improve the HAWKEN experience
• Improve internal visibility of game-related data
• Follow through from project inception through design to detailed completion
• Iterate on solutions based on internal feedback, plus feedback from players
• Drive the development of end-to-end data management solutions including database schema, database back-up and management, and performance tuning
• Participate in design process, gathering requirements with other engineers and designers
• Create measurable success
• Create open and re-usable web application components
• Be self-directed and be able to prioritize your own workload

Requirements:
• Three or more years experience with many or all of these aspects of web-based software development:
• Fluency with HTML and CSS
• Expert level programming skills with experience with PHP or another common web programming language such as Java, Python, Ruby, or C#/.NET
• Experience with C++/C is also desirable, though not required
• Experience scaling out large websites and debugging performance issues in large scale production environments
• Database development experience with at least one of the following: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle
• Web API design experience with JSON and/or XML
• Experience with presentation technologies like AJAX, or similar
