Technical Evangelist

The Technical Evangelist position is a highly versatile technical role within the business development organization, whose mission is to increase revenue and drive product adoption through highly leveraged and mutually beneficial technology partnerships. In this role, you will help develop and lead the technical relationship with a broad community of technology and developer partners, coordinating closely with internal product, sales and marketing teams to drive successful product integrations and deployments.

This position requires a strong background in web application and product development, program management and technical sales. Some experience in software development and web programming is also desired, which will enable you to lead partner design and development discussions against thePlatform's extensive SDK and APIs.

A successful person in this position will possess extremely strong technical and interpersonal communications skills which will allow them to effectively lead the coordination of joint product design and development efforts as well as manage ongoing relationships with a wide range of partners.

Responsibilities:
•Work directly with technology, integration and reseller partners to establish and lead the technical relationship, oversee product integration and plugin development efforts and help coordinate customer engagements.
•Ability to advocate and evangelize thePlatform's product and strategic position to a variety of partners and across a broad range of people from senior executives, architects, developers and sales & marketing.
•Help identify new technical market opportunities, emerging technology trends and competitive analysis.
•Provide technical insight and support to our business development, product, and sales teams.
•Prepare & deliver product/solution demonstrations and technical presentations to a mix of both senior technical and business audiences.
•Support partner coordinated go-to-market activities and pre-sales initiatives with in-depth product, partner and industry domain knowledge.
•Evangelize thePlatform solution and partner based value proposition with customers and through trade shows and other industry events.
•Represent thePlatform on standards committees.

Requirements:
•5+ years technology or digital media experience, preferably in a software development environment.
•Experience in project management and customer facing solution sales or client services.
•Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including functional and technical specification, implementation, QA processes, deployment, and maintenance and familiarity with building applications using external SDKs.
•Solid understanding of Web Services technologies and digital media standards and protocols. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Groovy and XML a plus.
•Interest and ability to quickly learn new technologies and industry trends.
•Ability to comprehend, develop and support complex business and technical initiatives.
•Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize against competing work streams and priorities.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
