Technical Co-Founder

SkyFu is looking for a technical co-founder.

SkyFu provides companies that understand the power of online opinion a dashboard that gathers, analyzes and guides them to act on their social data. Our solution is one stop, easily accessible and actionable. Our go-to-market strategy is to stick to tight verticals and roll out city by city.

Our first vertical is the restaurant space.

BUSINESS has gone very well so far. We have created a well received and stable beta product, we’ve secured premier local restaurateurs including Tom Douglas to use the product daily and we have plenty of investor interest.

Our team is strong. Our CEO Todd, an experienced entrepreneur has been thriving online for the last twelve years. Our product management and operations team is top notch. We have a solid board and advisory team whose knowledge base runs from PR/Communications to deep excel modeling.

We are a work hard/play hard company who values outcomes over activities. We are primed for success in a hot market!

And now for the tech stuff:

Our product consists of: aggregation engine, web application and mobile application (iOS and Android) and are built on best of breed technologies. Data aggregation engine is built on Java/J2EE architecture. Web application is n-tier, n-server deployment including - C# (2.0, 3.0 and 4.0), .NET, SQL (MySQL or SQL Server), web services, SOA, WCF, RESTFUL Services, ASP.NET, Ajax, JavaScript and JQuery, HTML and XML.

As the SkyFu Tech Founder, this individual has to understand the current software, its strength and its weaknesses and take the product to the next levels. This means hands on technical work like architecting, designing, coding, reviewing, fine tuning/building/rebuilding databases, enhancing performance of the application/databases/web services all in a the environment of a lean start-up.

Technical skills:

• Proficient in core Java/J2EE
• Strong experience in Server side programming using Java
• Extensive experience using Open source libraries
• Excellent understanding of HTML
• Strong MySQL experience
• Good knowledge of different UI design patterns, flair for Web 3.0 technologies, Ruby on Rails/Grails

Nice to have:

Although we do not expect expertise in the rest of the technologies mentioned below, they are nice to have capabilities:
Proficiency in technologies that support the Web application: (n-tier, n-server deployment including - C# (2.0, 3.0 and 4.0), .NET, SQL (MySQL or SQL Server), web services, SOA, WCF, RESTFUL Services, ASP.NET, Ajax, JavaScript and JQuery, HTML and XML).
