What you’ll be doing…
Tableau’s products are highly visual and interactive. You will be extending Tableau’s product suite and bringing in cutting-edge technology from partner companies. You will help us make our authoring product even more capable with a focus on allowing people to “reach out and touch” their data. You will take on challenging products such as adding support for the newest data technologies, ranging from brand-new hybrid databases to NoSQL platforms to big-data stores. You will do all of this while working with a team that cares deeply about expressive, direct, and simple user interfaces.

Who you are…
You are a top-notch developer with at least three years of experience. You love working with external teams to take two powerful technologies and smashing them together to make something even better. You love to code and have a passion for solving complex problems. You write tests for your code as a way to maintain high quality. You understand what it takes to write software that is used by thousands, even millions, of people. You love products that “just work” – that are robust, scalable, and perform well. You enjoy collaborating, learning from your colleagues, and teaching others. You have solid development skills with object oriented languages like C++ or Java. Finally, if you revel in jumping on timely opportunities to create something really great, then you’ll love our team.
