What you’ll be doing…
As Developer Team Lead for Tableau Public, you will oversee a team of Software Engineers who design and develop software for a next-generation Visual Analytics and Collaboration suite. Our next wave features are starting development now, and we need help making it even better.

You and your team will be focused on a JavaScript, Java and C++-based platform. Your team will build new features that drive whole new classes of features for our Public service.

The Tableau Public product is based on the same code base as our other award-winning Tableau offerings, but it is highly customized for the Public audience. You will help drive that customization to the next level. You will do this and more in a highly collaborative environment full of talented professionals who are dedicated to helping people “see and understand their data”.

Who you are…
Leader. You have prior experience leading a small team of developers and possess a strong background that includes Javascript, Java and / or C++ development in a Windows / Linux environment. Experience in delivering software as a service is important.
Experienced. You have at least 5 years of experience developing software that is robust, scalable, and performs well.
A True Team Player. You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and teaching others so we can all become better developers.
Relentlessly High Standards. You’re not satisfied with the status quo. You thrill in your accomplishments but also know it’s about doing and improving.
