Product Engineer

We’re looking for an ambitious web developer to join the Simply Measured product team. You’ll be working directly with our Chief Product Officer to define and improve the way that our customers experience our product offerings. If you love writing code but prefer arguing about what’s better for the end-user than whether Emacs is better than Vim, this is the job for you. That being said, if you wouldn’t enjoy that latter conversion at all, this isn’t the right job for you.

What you’ll need to be hired for the job:

Expertise in a server-side language like Ruby, Python, or PHP
Extremely solid Javascript, CSS, and HTML skills
Familiarity with Photoshop
An understanding of what marketing and customer acquisition is, why it matters, and how a good product experience can make a product market itself
A strong desire to learn and push your skills beyond your wildest expectations

What you’ll need to grow into being great at your job:

Expertise in BOTH Ruby and PHP
Wizard level Javascript skills and the feeling that CSS and HTML are such a no-brainer that even including those skills on a resume is pointless
Enough design wherewithal to not need a designer’s help every time a new page, site, or feature is added
