PHP Developer

We are seeking several PHP Developers for one of our clients. The developers at this level should have experience doing back-end development with PHP and MySQL. Qualified candidates will be expected to design, develop, maintain and optimize secure and scalable multi-tier web applications.

The primary job responsibility for this role is to provide PHP programming and functionality for a wide variety of consumer-related websites, intranets, extranets, and web-based applications. Developers are challenged on a daily basis to solve problems in new and creative ways.
Responsibilities:

•Write unit tests and coordinate development with management/development team.
•Write bullet proof code that is highly scalable.
•Deploy applications.
•Participate in release management.
•Knowledge and skills developing in PHP and SQL.
•Additional languages (such as Perl, JavaScript, AJAX, BASH, Java, etc.) beneficial.
•Understanding of code revision control processes and tools (Mecurial).
•Must be able to write and debug advanced SQL queries.
•Understanding of advanced Object Oriented Programming principles.
•Able to solve complex, multi-dimensional problems.
•Can produce documentation of concept including flow charts and API specifications.
•Understanding of internet services such as SOAP, XMLRPC, REST, etc.
•Understanding of networking protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP.
•Understanding of Remote Procedure Calls (RPC).
•LAMP experience (Linux/Unix, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
•Ability to understand development processes (Agile) and work within them.
•Ability to translate and participate in the creation of functional and technical specifications.
•Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills.
•Strong communication skills
