Description

Supported by a world-class team of engineers, computer scientists and business strategists, this media relations rock star will set the strategy and contribute to the growth of Decide’s public relations and social media programs.
Responsibilities will include:
•Collaborate in executing the company’s public relations program, plan messaging and budget.
•Responsible for securing coverage, driving media relations for key product launches and engaging with key media and social media influencers for Decide.
•Partner with data analyst team to analyze data for key trends and translates those insights to be a trusted resource for media.
•Plan and execute social media marketing.
•Responsible for drafting all PR materials and electronic communications for the company.
•Reports to the Vice President, Product and Marketing.
Our ideal candidate:
•7+ years of experience in public relations or a corporate communication position for a startup, corporation or agency; tech/internet startup and/or retail experience preferred.
•Outstanding media relations skills, proven track record to execute proactive PR campaigns and programs.
•Strong understanding of social media tools and ability to engage with social media influencers.
•Ability to establish new relationships in new industries quickly.
•Energetic and self-motivated team player eager to contribute to the success of a fast-growing startup.
•Critical thinker – You’re independent, love challenges, and can break down and solve any problem that presents itself.
•Skilled communicator – You’re a natural at clearly communicating hard concepts and varying your style to suit different audiences. You are a good listener.
•Track record of excellence in all previous roles.
•Passion for technology in general. You like ecommerce specifically and want to change the way people shop.
•College degree required; master's degree highly desired.
•Local candidates strongly preferred.
