What you’ll be doing…
The Director of Sales Operations will be a key member of the Sales Leadership team, responsible for developing strategic and competitive sales solutions that will secure the success of the sales objectives at Tableau. This position requires a highly resourceful, process-oriented, metrics-driven, customer obsessed professional, who has the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This leader will have also have a track record of successful project leadership in Sales Operations, and a reputation for collaboration and teamwork.

Some of the things you’ll be doing include…

  • Sales Planning: Partner with Sales Management on business planning and strategy, including quota and headcount updates to sales plan.

  • FP&A: Responsibility for building and managing a sales model to track all sales employees and new hires. Work with the finance team on compensation analysis and cost of sales tracking.

  • Territory Planning: Maintain and modify sales territories through rapid growth. Comprehensive analysis of territories, driving to territory alignment decisions and policies.

  • Analysis: Use of Tableau for key sales analysis, performance tracking, and KPIs.

  • Forecasting and Pipeline Management: Administer, manage and report on revenue forecasting using Tableau and Salesforce.

  • Sales Business Processes: Develop consistent sales process, policies, and rules of engagement. Enforce these processes.

  • Business Systems: Coordinating support, integration and changes to key sales business systems, especially Salesforce CRM and sales productivity applications to support revenue and cost reduction.


Who you are…

  • Experienced. 8 to 10 years experience in Sales Operations, preferably in a software sales environment. You have superior analytical skills and/or a background as a Sales or Financial analyst.

  • Entrepreneurial. You’ve worked with start-ups and emerging organizations. You understand how to build and grow a successful business.

  • Technically Savvy. You are an Excel Wizard and you know all about using Salesforce CRM.

  • Excellent Communication. You know what to say and more importantly, how to say it.

  • A True Team Player. You're a leader and you know that to get the best results, you also have to be a great team player.

  • Sales Minded. You have expertise with all phases of the sales and business development lifecycle. (Prior direct sales experience also a plus!)

  • Results & Process-oriented. You leverage a well-defined, repeatable process and are all about results.
