Learn to weld and walk away with your very own project!
This class will cover basic metal fabrication techniques including cutting, bending and joining. Welding will be taught using a MIG welder, and students will leave with a good understanding of how the equipment works as well as various welding techniques. This is a great introduction to metalworking and absolutely no experience is needed!

Students will also purchase their own materials after the first class session based on recommendations by the instructor.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
A recent transplant to Seattle, Washington, Amanda McDonald has worked as a welding fabricator, glassblower, and artist’s assistant for over 12 years. Born in Cincinnati, OH, Amanda holds her BFA in metal sculpture from Jacksonville University and has also studied art & design at SUNY Purchase, University of Miami, and the Pilchuck Glass School. Amanda has a strong interest in process, and uses a variety of materials in her own work including metal, glass, and wood.
