You’ve probably used one of those try-before-you-buy services before, which Warby Parker revolutionized with eyewear. Now a San Francisco company is offering the same kind of service for fitness trackers.

Lumoid, originally known for its “rent, try, buy” program for photography gear, just launched its wearable program. And the model is fairly simple: Select five wearable tech items, including fitness and sleeping bands, and try them out for seven days. You can then buy the one you want — they’ll ship you a new one, not the demo — and return the rest. The site is carrying products from Misfit, Nike, Fitbit, Garmin, Jawbone and more.

The only sort-of downside to the service is the charge of $20 to “rent” the gear before you buy it. But considering these are items hover around $100 or more, it might be a small price to pay to make sure you get the one that works best for you. The market is about to get even more confusing, too. At CES, wearable tech was all the rage.

Fast Company tries the service out and offers a full review here.
