With a nod to Captain America and some last-minute do-it-yourself additions to the iconic superhero’s costume, Captain GeekWire hit the street and attended the 15th annual Emerald City Comicon to mingle with fellow cosplayers.

Thousands of attendees filled the Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle and many of them were dressed as their favorite comic book or video game or movie or television or fantasy hero. Those who weren’t dressed up took pictures of those who were, and together the masses mingled past booths loaded with pop culture paraphernalia.

Captain GeekWire talked to a range of costumed geeks, diving into the nitty gritty of what they were wearing, which superhero might be the most fun to hook up with, along with cosplay advice for Captain GeekWire.

Check out the video and the photos and stay tuned to GeekWire for more from ECCC this weekend.
