Globant just made another acquisition of a Seattle-based company.

The publicly-traded global technology consulting firm today announced that it has acquired Ratio, a Seattle-based digital agency that does work for companies like Microsoft, Sony, Alaska Airlines, and others.

Ratio originally started as Ratio Interactive in 2001, building iOS and Android apps for clients. It merged with fellow Seattle agency Cypress in 2013 to provide a broader range of services across platforms like Windows 8 and Xbox 360, in addition to iPad, Android and others. The agency also specializes in video streaming solutions.

Ratio’s 45 employees will remain in Seattle.

“Joining forces with Globant will help Ratio to better serve our customers, and also allow us to leverage our deep media experience internationally as digital media consumption continues to grow at staggering rates,” Ratio CEO Nate Thompson said in a statement. “We are honored to be joining Globant as we believe they place the same value on digital innovation and transformation as Ratio, while also sharing the same cultural values in growing a great company and building great teams.”

In November, Globant acquired L4 Digital, a Seattle-based product agency. Both acquisitions are part of the company’s U.S expansion.

“By incorporating Ratio’s team to Globant, together with the acquisition of Seattle-based L4 late last year, we continue building a global organization with some of the best talent in the world,” Globant co-founder Martín Umaran said in a statement.

Founded in 2003, Globant employs more than 5,600 people in 12 countries. It became the first Latin American software company to go public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2014. Globant posted record revenue of $87.3 million for the most recent quarter; shares are up nearly 20 percent in the past year.
